Manchego Cheese

"Produced exclusively in Spain’s La Mancha region, Manchego is a sheep’s milk cheese that’s been produced for hundreds of years. (Cervantes mentioned it in his Don Quixote.) It’s still crafted exclusively from the whole milk of the region’s Manchega sheep according to strict, traditional methods. From the six months careful aging to the basket-weave pattern on the cheese’s rind, to the aromas of flowers, nuts, and lavender, Trader Joe's Manchego is traditional in all ways but one: price. Generally, the price for this very special cheese tends to be very high. But because we sell a great deal of Manchego, we’ve been able to negotiate a terrific cost from our supplier, which in turn enables us to offer it to you for an excellent price. Try it shaved over a salad, as part of a charcuterie board with Truffle Salami, or really break the mold and melt slices over a burger to create a buzz of international proportions."
