Norwegian Smoked Salmon

"One might think of the ice-cold waters of the Norwegian fjords as being inherently inhospitable, but they’re actually the ideal environment for certain species of fish, including herring, Greenland sharks, and Atlantic salmon. In fact, it’s within these waters that our supplier farms this meaty, mild-flavored salmon, and just a few miles away from said fjords’ shorelines, they gently smoke them and slice them super thin to accentuate their naturally tender texture. It all results in a delightfully savory, delicately smoky seafood treat, which we call Trader Joe’s Norwegian Smoked Salmon. While we’re particularly partial to enjoying Trader Joe’s Norwegian Smoked Salmon on a bagel with Whipped Cream Cheese and Capers, that’s just the beginning, as far as we’re concerned. It’s also excellent atop an English Muffin with a poached egg and Hollandaise for a satisfying salmon Benedict, or roughly chopped and mixed into scrambled eggs or placed into an omelet. And outside of its breakfast uses, we also find it’s great for including in seafood chowders, sandwiches, and pastas, and even simply serving over a leafy green salad or bowl of steamed rice."
