Strawberry Baton Wafer Cookies
"Trader Joe’s Baton Wafer Cookies are not unlike magic wands. Both are constructed in a long, cylindrical fashion, how they come to exist is somewhat of a mystery, and—perhaps most importantly—both are filled with magic! In the case of our limited-edition Strawberry Baton Wafer Cookies, that magic is more tangible (and taste-able!) than supernatural, in the form of a sweet-tart Strawberry crème that’s naturally flavored with strawberry powder. That enchanting filling is encased in delicately rolled wafer cookies colored with vegetable juice, lending a rosy swirl and crunchy counterpoint to the crème inside. The Batons are then carefully packed in a printed tin, making them easy to tote along on all sorts of charmed, warm-weather outings (think spring picnics, beach days, concerts in the park…). When some other stores launch a limited-edition version of an everyday favorite (shoutout to TJ’s Cocoa Batons!), they often do so with a limited-edition (read: higher) price to match. To that approach, we say “Hocus pocus!”"
