Did you know, though, that when we go small, we go terrifically Teensy, too? Taking the concept of “fun size” to a whole new dimension, Trader Joe’s Teensy Candy Bars are made for us by the same esteemed chocolatier in Germany responsible for our Halloween-seasonal Wicked Good Mini Chocolate Bars. To make each Teensy Candy Bar, they start with an itty-bitty base of their own dense and creamy nougat, which they cover with sweet and sticky caramel and crunchy chopped peanuts, before enveloping it all in a luxurious layer of milk chocolate. With their Lilliputian proportions, our Teensy Candy Bars make a superb anytime sweet treat—simply open the pouch, grab a Bar (or five) and enjoy. That said, we find that their size makes them spectularly suited for accessorizing or even decorating other desserts: we recommend sprinkling a few onto a scoop of Chocolate Ice Cream, pressing them into soft, freshly baked thumbprint cookies, or using to adorn a maximalist banana split."
